When you’re busy with calving, the unpredictable weather makes it more challenging. We’ve had rain, snow, ice, and cold temps. That’s a South Dakota spring for you! But when you have nice weather like today, you have time to reflect and smell the errrr roses so to speak! Here’s Ash with a new baby calf.

March madness has begun on our farm..... Calving came a little early and we have several calves on the ground. Bad weather is being reported for later this evening and our baby boom of 20 calves for the day (and still counting) makes it seem like this could be quite possible. Here are some pictures Daniel took of our last snow storm which explains why blizzards can make calving season so much more interesting. The top photo is of the cameras we have to help check the cows. #B
